One thing I was not aware of before I became a parent, was the veritable opportunities I would have to attend Birthday Parties. Everyone you know and everyone/child that knows your child will invite you to parties. You may think this bothers me. But quite the contrary, it affords me unique benefits:

• Someone else’s house gets destroyed.
• Someone else gets a house filled with more toys than they can imagine what to do with.
• Someone else gets bags of chips, ice cream and cupcakes that they have to eat.

It’s like the best of both worlds, I get to have my cake and eat it. AND someone else gets to clean up my mess. What’s not to enjoy?

This weeks victims, I mean friends, we’re John and Reagan Walz. Their daughter, Elsa, was having her 2 year old party. Ahhhh, good times! Mira immediately found a nice change of clothes and new glasses.

Of course, it’s just a matter of time until is sugar time. Sprite and cupcakes, is there any kids love more than this? Here’s Mira and the birthday girl. Yes, Mira is 4 and Elsa is 2. Yes, Elsa weighs more than Mira.

Frosting is delicious!

Here’s an interesting note about Mira. She doesn’t eat cake. No joke. I had to threaten her with a time-out to get her to eat a doughnut in the past. It’s comical. However, today was the first day we actually saw her eat any real part of the cupcake. She had about 3 bites of frosting, then started demanding Doritos. Yes, we give her just enough sugar to make her nice and aggressive!

As soon as Elsa found Luna, she was locked in. Let me hold the baby, let me kiss the baby! The red in the background is actually my shirt. At 2, they just aren’t quite gentle enough with babies for you to trust them unless they are within arms reach. Elsa and Luna got along smashingly. Lots of smiles and kisses.
