Here it is New Years Eve and I am doing a little Luna duty with our new bundle of Joy.
Luna turns 4 weeks on Monday, I can’t believe it’s almost been a month. She has a knack for sleeping all day and keeping us honest at night. You are probably wondering how I can type, convert pics and keep track of Luna at the same time? Well, the vibrating chair is really doing most of the work.
I will normally walk with her and hold her close, but I really need to update the website and I’m sure I’ll get another chance in a few hours.
We’ve had some snow in the past few days and I was able to get out with Mira and go sledding down the street. She just loved it. I’m not sure if Mira like the sledding or the hanging out at the frozen playground better. In case you were wondering, I do not advise going down frozen slides in the winter. I sent Mira down first and she shot out the end of the slide like she was Clark Griswold in “Christmas Vacation.” Of course I had to test it out for myself and quickly found myself 10 feet out from the bottom of the slide laying on my back in 4 inches of snow. Ouch! Frozen plastic is fast!
Mira really did have a great time and it was good for some daddy/daughter bonding. She was soaked and frozen when we got home, I think that means you did it right.
We’ve got a boring weekend planned. Hopefully lots of sleeping and hanging out with ourselves. Mira is very excited to go back to school next week and I think that we’re excited to have her back in some structure.
We figured that Luna officially outgrew one set of clothes today, really her first outfit that Grandma Cheryl got her. It’s crazy how fast this first month has gone by!
Luna and Mira went and got a few pictures taken last week together.
Here’s another just of Luna:
Everyone always wants to know how Mira is doing with everything. Erika would say better than she hoped. And I would probably say worse than I would have hoped. Which probably means she has reacted pretty normally.
She does love her little sister. And Mira’s old doll, baby Darcy is now known as “baby Luna” More adventures surely to follow.
We can’t wait to share 2010 with you all, thanks for checking in with us!
