The Keefe’s come home for Christmas!

At some point. We all got a little tired of doing this all day:

Erika’s sister Lindsay, her husband Alex and new baby (Darcy) came home. We went over in the evening to hang out. We found out fairly quickly that Mira likes to talk loud and baby Darcy is used to a quiet house. Try as we might Mira had simply lost her indoor voice. Which is odd considering how quiet her mom and dad are (note intended sarcasm here). But as soon as Mira saw baby Darcy she just screamed, “I take her. Baby Darcy! I take her!” So, we sat baby Darcy down on Mira’s lap. Here’s how it unfolded:

You’ll notice that we keep telling Mira to be gentle. However, Mira is more interested in telling her, “It’s ok and I take her!”

Erika was able to snap a nice little pic with baby Darcy also:

After the baby darcy excitement wore down. Mira decided it was time to make some dinner and went into the kitchen and demanded that she be allowed to cook carrots in the stove for 3 minutes. Don’t believe me. Here’s the 55 second video of Mira cooking:

Ah yes, our little chef in action. Here’s a lovely picture that Mira will undoubtably put in her first cookbook:

You notice that the “oven mitt” in Mira’s hand is actually a bath scrubby that she found in the bathroom. No idea what she was thinking. But we believe the orange bath mitt was the start to all the cooking in the kitchen.

We all went back to the Steinberg’s later that evening and Mira slept soundly with thoughts of taking babies and cooking carrots just floating around.

Ah, I just love the holidays.
