Yes, it’s true. There were 2 weddings we attended in the month of August and here we are at the second wedding. My brother Jeremy, who is getting married to the love of his life, Bridget. We’re in Renton, Washington which is a small suburb on the south side of Seattle.
My best friend from high school, Matt, decided to crash the wedding. I’d say crash, but really he has known Jeremy for a very long time and was acting more as a nanny for the girls to help out Erika. You wouldn’t believe it, but he’s pretty good with kids.
You know Matt. If that lawyer thing doesn’t seem like fun anymore. You can always move into our home and hang out with me everyday. We’ve got a guest bed and everything!
Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell were so excited to see the girls and spend time with them. They were actually kind enough to act as chauffeurs for the weekend also. They snapped a shot with the girls at the wedding.
And of course, we were available for some shenanigans with the girls. Good stuff. If you ever want to know how to pacify a bored 4 year old. I recommend sugar. Normally in the form of candy. If you don’t have candy, sugar will still work. Luckily, we had a sucker.
And I stole this picture of Jeremy and Bridget off facebook. So happy for my little brother!
Back to the day itself. It was time to hit the reception for some food and fun. Grandma was nice enough to grab Luna for some quality time and amazingly enough, Luna was in a good mood.
So much fun at the reception. Mira was practically shaking she wanted to dance so badly. As soon as we set her free she was on the floor. And that girl is all about spinning around and break dancing. I’m not even sure where she saw this, but it’s all she wants to do. “Spin daddy, spin!”
At some point Mira grew tired of the breakin and decided it was time to jump. I’ve been doing this with her since she was a little girl and I must say that she never tires of getting thrown into the air. The higher the better!
Lest we not forget about nanny Matt. Our brave guest from the sunny state of California. He was a huge help to Erika and it was so great to see him and spend the weekend with our entire family. Luna just loved Seattle and maybe we’ll go back again someday soon!
One we returned to Cleveland, I officially put my notice into Key bank. Yes the rumors are true. We are moving back to Michigan. We’re moving to a small community north of Grand Rapids called Rockford. I’ve accepted a position at Wolverine World Wide and we are heading back home. We couldn’t be more excited.
Up next is our last few days in Cleveland and Mira’s going away party!
