Yes, we’ve been busy since the last update. Mira came down with a nasty UTI and had to spend 4-5 days at home in her jammies getting better. In the midst of all that indoor time, we had to start getting creative for ways to pass the time. We dug out the old moon sand and her and I spent an hour or two building and smashing moon sand figures! The sand is still different colors in this pic. Now all we have is a big pile of purple sand.
Yes, she was very sick. It took us 2 doctor visits and a trip to the ER to get her where she could do anything without having to goto the bathroom every 5 minutes. That’s not a joke, we were all pretty worn out by the end. We couldn’t even drive for 10 minutes without having to stop and let her go on the side of the road. When we initially went to the doctor and they asked Mira for a urine sample. Erika took her into the bathroom and asked her to pee in the hat. Mira’s response, “I don’t need to pee in the cup. You can go get some from the road!”
Once we got home, we found some old tattoos and marked her up. She’s still wearing this dolphin more than a week later. And no, she doesn’t have any need for those bandages. When your sick 4 year old asks for a band aid, you just give it to her.
Yes, we’ve had a miles stone. Little Luna Buna (Luna’s new nickname) turned 8 weeks old. And with that we have officially recorded the first smile. There have been a few before this, but this is the first one recorded!
We’ve officially hit the long winter days and we are all getting some cabin fever. However, the other day we all curled up on the couch and even meme joined us. Erika captured the moment.
Yes, Luna Buna is getting huge! She can almost sit up. Lots of movement and it seems like she wants to talk.
Mira has fallen in love with the song “Soul Sister” by Train. She’s normally running around the house singing it. Erika decided to tape it yesterday.
Up soon, Mira turns 4 in 2 short weeks and we are planning her first big party. We have invited 18 kids from her school/daycare and things are only going to get crazier for the next 2 weeks while we get ready!
