The Mitchells come to visit

Yes, the Mitchell family drove from Michigan to Cleveland to visit and see baby Luna. Grandma and grandpa had only seen her for 20 minutes the night that she was born. The Fairview Park Hospital has very strict visiting hours, so they had to leave shortly after meeting little Luna.

As you can see from the picture, Grandma Mitchell was very excited to be reunited with little Luna:

What I believe was more amazing about this visit was that it included my younger brother Nathan. We have lived in Cleveland for 2 years now and Nathan has not been able to make the 2+ hour trip yet. It was great that he and his wife Karen were able to sneak away and come visit. Mira has been finding the joys of instant movies online. Mostly by watching old Looney Tunes movies and TV shows. Ah the good old days of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. She’s enthralled with Daffy Duck and talks about him constantly. Here’s Mira and Nathan enjoying a bit of “Duck Dodgers and the 24 1/2 Century”

You will also notice that Mira is holding what looks like a strange pink balloon. That’s actually a balloon animal that Mira got recently whilst on one of her many trips to see Santa. She went up to the balloon man and he asked what she wanted. “How about a fish?” “Sure I can make a fish, what color?” “Well, can you make a pink fish?” As we all know, Mira is infatuated with pink fish, which isn’t just specific to tuna fish anymore. She hasn’t really set the fish down since then.

Of course after the Looney Toon showing it was time for a friendly game of hide and seek. Or as I like to call it, “Hide in the little cubby.” Nathan was nice enough to oblige once again. I open the door and snuck this pick:

Hide and seek time!

Once Nathan and Mira had finished with hide and seek, it was time for a rousing game of butterfly. Which means that Mira will put on her wings and antenna and then finds a lucky person to help her fly all around the house. Nathan completed his trifecta of Mira time and flew her all around the house.

Fly little butterfly!

It was a nice long day with the Mitchells and we were so grateful that they made the long trip in. Grandpa and Nathan both took turns holding baby Luna, who just loves to sleep. However, Grandma Mitchell and Auntie Karen really spent the most time holding her. She’s such a wonderful baby!
