Casualties, what’s this of which you speak?
Well, as we spent the good part of the afternoon rebuilding the sledding hill out front. It was a veritable monstrosity when we finished. We built stairs and it was a good 2 feet higher than my original hill. And it would take you all the way to the neighbors driveway if you let it. I would wager it was about 5 feet tall and a bit imposing.
Before the party, whilst getting things ready, I decided to take one quick run down the hill. Just to make sure it still worked. Of course it was warm out and the hill had softened just enough for the back lip to give. I fell head over heels backwards and landed right on the driveway. Luckily, I was able to soften the blow by jamming my hand first.
Then a few days later, my cold turned much worse and I wound up having a terrible sinus infection in my forehead that had to be treated at the hospital. And I wound up having an allergic reaction that made my face the size of a beach ball. Don’t believe me?
It was an entertaining few days at our house. You wouldn’t have thought that Mira even noticed. She’s been playing with all her presents since the party. Here is her new better batter baseball.
Like usual, Luna has been her normal difficult self. Lots of crying and screaming. Here’s a great example.
In the spirit of Mira’s 4th birthday. I actually combined footage from Mira’s first 4 birthdays into a single 2 minute video. If you’d like to listen to 4 amazing renditions of “Happy Birthday to you!” while Mira ages before your eyes, check this out.
Luna had an amazing time watching it and would like to wave goodbye until our next update!
