Luna Mitchell 48 hours and counting

Dr. Starck arrived this morning. In case you forgot who that was, see our recent post of “The greatest OBGYN in the world” She chatted with us forever, mostly about Erika’s hometown Muskegon, MI. They are both from their, we discovered that they grew up about 2-3 miles from each other. Crazy that we would find her here in Cleveland, Ohio! Dr. Starck felt like everyone looked great (except me, I’m hairy and bald). We’ve been given the green light to go home tomorrow! That’s assuming that everything continues to improve and we don’t have any setbacks in the next 24 hours. How exciting! Here’s a wonderful pic we snapped of Dr. Starck and Luna before she left. Awwww!

You should know that it’s official. Luna loves the soothie. Just pop that thing in there and she calms right down from whatever it is she’s screaming about. Luna is so tiny right now, it’s funny because that soothie is nearly as big as her face!

I had to sneak out today and check in with my surgeon. In case you weren’t aware, I had a bunch of limpomas removed from my forearms last week (they are small lumps). I got all 30 stitches removed and the green light from my Dr. also! Yes, it’s a nice day for all of us. We snapped another quick photo when I got back with Luna. She’s such a sweet little girl!

With all the scare of H1N1, children aren’t allowed in the hospital, which means that Mira and Luna have not yet met. It looks like tomorrow is going to be the big day. I promise to get some good video of the momentous occasion and upload it tomorrow for you all to see. I’m sure Mira is going to age 5 years from the time we leave the hospital to when we walk in the door. She’s gonna look so big next to Luna. Amazing!

It’s getting a bit late here and we’re all going to start to settle down for a nice night of feeding every two hours. Wish us luck and lots of wonderful sleep!

Big Yawn!
