Mira was up at 7:30, just like she always is. Had her glass of milk then asked for some berries. Just like normal. She is eating, napping, sleeping like normal. We couldn’t be much happier.
We went down to the river today and took a few pictures for our Christmas card. Mira wasn’t very excited about the cold and wind, so we had to cut our trip short. But she took a great nap afterwards, so we felt like it was a win as we just wanted to wear her out a little.
Even though she hasn’t been at daycare in a few weeks, they have a recital on Tuesday night. We are thinking about having Mira goto daycare on Tuesday and then the recital in the evening (assuming things continue to go well and the Dr. gives us a thumbs up). We’ll be sure to post pictures if that happens.
I actually felt comfortable enough with where we are to go on a run today. My first run in longer than I would care to remember. It was a lovely 5 mile romp in the metropark. 40 degrees, gusting winds and light rain the whole way. I was soaked to the bone when I finished, but I can’t remember the last time I ran in those conditions and felt so good afterwards.
Here’s a picture of Mira playing horse with me in the living room:
Now, don’t kid yourself. These aren’t the “old school” bucking bronco rides I was used to as a kid. Actually, Mira always gets off the horse as soon as it begins to move. No, this is a better way to get a good view of the television when it’s on. And another excellent way for Mira to boss me around. “No daddy! Down! Up! No daddy! Down!” Comical really. But she’s using muscles and dragging herself up there, so that is all good stuff.
Here’s another shot of Mira after she was messing with some of the huge stuffed animals she’s gotten in the past week or so:
The most significant part of this picture we think is how Mira’s pants are falling right off her. They were loose before, but now she can’t walkacross the living room without them falling down. Poor thing is super skinny now.
Things are looking great, thanks for all the wonderful support we’ve gotten.
We’ll send more updates maybe on Tuesday evening after “the show”
