So nice to see you again fall!

Fall rolled into Rockford Michigan this year with much excitement around the Mitchell house. We found out that the new house we are currently renting, has a small lake/pond that forms where the driveway meets the road. Yes, it’s a little ranch perched on top of a little hill in the middle of nowhere. I’m not even sure how we found this place, but Mira really enjoys it. Really, any excuse to put on those ladybug boots of hers is super awesome. And she was living it up after this rain storm.

Mira's new pool!

She’s getting bigger that Mira, and once again she donned the hat for the camera.

Love the hat!

This was one of her random school days, but she was dressed so nicely we decided to snap a shot. Can you believe how big she’s getting?

Off to school!

And of course with fall, that means we had to visit an orchard. Man, these things get more fancy and full of shenanigans every year. Here’s the tractor Mira was adamant that she was going to sit on.

At the orchard!

And of course the perfect baby was on hand to hand out with Erika and be generally cute.

The girls!

Here we see the 4 year old in her natural habitat. This appears to be a 50 gallon drum that been cut out and painted so that it looks like a car. Why is it kids always have to have a particular one? Does it really matter whether or not you get the purple one?

Beep beep!

On to the reason we actually went there, apples of course. Which Luna was a big fan of!

Apples are delicious!

Why does my daughter look like she’s going to a funeral? I don’t know, but you can bet she picked out this outfit. And again, she’s got the ladybug boots on. Seriously, those things are like 10 years old I swear.

Picking apples!

We even got the girls to pose for a nice picture together. I use the universal “we” here, which really means Erika did it while I was sitting around somewhere doing nothing.

Sisters

And the trip to the orchard wouldn’t be complete without the pumpkin patch pictures.

At the pumpkin patch!

This ones great too!

So many pumpkins, so little time!

Even though it was fall, we actually had a few warm days. On this particular day, it was warm enough for pop sickles. Yes, I know it’s impossible to be too cold for pop sickles. We’re trying to set a good example here people, cut us some slack!

Mmmm yummy!

Luna wasn’t quite sure how to properly get after the “side” sections of the pop sickle, but Mira was happy to show her how it is done…

This is how it's done...

With Halloween right around the corner and cold weather coming. It’s gonna be a great fall and winter!
